These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RunIt errand marketplace, including our mobile app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The RunIt platform
RunIt is a marketplace that connects customers who post errands with independent runners who complete them. RunIt provides the technology, payment handling, and trust and safety tools, but runners are not employees of RunIt. RunIt is not a party to the agreement for the errand itself between a customer and a runner.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- Runners must complete identity verification (KYC) and be approved before accepting errands.
3. Posting and completing errands
- Customers must describe errands clearly and provide accurate budgets, locations, and instructions.
- Runners agree to complete accepted errands honestly, on time, and as described, and to upload required proof of completion.
- Both parties agree to communicate respectfully through the in-app chat and to follow the agreed errand details.
4. Prohibited errands and conduct
You may not use the Service to request, perform, or facilitate:
- Illegal purchases or activities of any kind.
- Regulated or harmful goods where not permitted by law.
- Dangerous, violent, or threatening tasks.
- Fraud, financial fraud, or deception.
- Stalking, harassment, or invasion of privacy.
- Anything that places minors in unsafe situations.
We may remove content, suspend, or ban accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to users or the platform.
5. Pricing, payments, and escrow
- The total you pay is made up of the item budget (money used for purchases), the runner fee (paid to the runner for their time), and a platform fee. RunIt never adds a markup to the item budget.
- When you fund an errand, your payment is held securely and is only released once the errand is confirmed complete.
- Unused item budget is refunded where applicable. Runner earnings are credited to the runner's wallet on completion.
- All amounts are calculated and processed on our servers. Final monetary outcomes are determined by RunIt's records.
6. Wallets and payouts
Runner earnings accumulate in an in-app wallet ledger. Runners may request payouts subject to available balance and verification. We may delay or hold payouts where we detect suspicious activity or pending disputes.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Errands may be cancelled subject to their current status. Refunds for cancellations, unused budget, failed errands, or duplicate payments are handled according to our refund process and recorded in your wallet ledger.
8. Disputes
If an errand is not completed as agreed, you may open a dispute. RunIt will review the available evidence — including chat history, receipts, proof uploads, and timestamps — and may issue a full or partial refund, release full or partial runner payment, or otherwise resolve the matter. RunIt's resolution is final for amounts held on the platform.
9. Ratings and reviews
Customers and runners may rate each other after a completed errand. Reviews must be honest and must not contain abusive, misleading, or unlawful content. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. RunIt does not guarantee the conduct of any user, the quality of any errand, or uninterrupted availability of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunIt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or interactions between customers and runners.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or pose a risk to other users. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes relating to the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
